Overview

We are a growing game studio in Richmond, Virginia looking to add a talented Godot game developer to our team. As a Godot game developer, you will play a key role in the development of our upcoming flagship game: Two Robots Universe.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize 2D and 3D game assets and systems using Godot
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to bring game concepts to life
  • Implement features such as player controls, enemy AI, physics, and UI
  • Optimize performance and ensure a high-quality gaming experience
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other agile development processes

 

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience developing games using the Godot engine
  • Proficient in programming languages such as GDScript, C#, or C++
  • Strong understanding of 2D and 3D game development principles
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with shader programming
  • Knowledge of game design and user experience principles
  • Familiarity with other game engines or frameworks (e.g. Unity, Unreal)
  • Portfolio of published 2D or 3D games
