Position Overview
We are hiring skilled Vessel Welders to join a leading fabrication team in Catoosa. This position requires the ability to pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test and involves working on vessels with precision and efficiency. A successful Vessel Welder will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards in every project.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate advanced welding equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work orders.
Inspect finished products for accuracy, appearance, and compliance with quality assurance standards.
Safely weld vessel components and ensure all work meets specifications.
Perform troubleshooting and advanced adjustments on welding machines to maintain efficiency.
Participate in weld procedure improvement planning to enhance safety and productivity.
Operate required tools and follow strict safety practices at all times.
Handle small parts and complete basic data entry for maintenance and production reporting.
Work in confined spaces and crawl in/out of vessels as required.
Requirements
Must be able to pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test.
Previous experience welding on vessels or heavy steel.
Strong knowledge of volts, amps, and weld machine adjustments.
Ability to detect defects and maintain production averages at or above standard.
Basic math skills and safety training.
Capable of lifting and handling heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
Good communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments.
6+ months of material handling experience or equivalent knowledge.
