Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to support tooling reliability and production efficiency in a high-tech manufacturing environment. The Tool & Die Maker will be responsible for building, repairing, modifying, and maintaining tools, dies, fixtures, and equipment to ensure consistent uptime and high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
Build, repair, and maintain dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures
Support tooling setup, modification, and development for production
Provide guidance to junior tooling staff and apprentices
Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform preventive maintenance
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T specifications
Maintain accurate documentation of tool repairs, changes, and development work
Collaborate with engineering, machining, and production teams
Follow all LOTO, safety, and environmental procedures
Maintain clean, organized work areas
Support continuous improvement across tooling and production processes
Required Qualifications
Tool & Die Maker certification or 5+ years equivalent experience
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
Experience operating grinders, mills, lathes, and precision equipment
Strong troubleshooting ability for dies and cutting tools
Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
Ability to communicate effectively in English (written & verbal)
Experience with end forming, crimping, or bending is a plus
