Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Shop Helper to support evening fabrication operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Shop Helper will assist craftsmen, operate shop tools, and maintain safety and productivity standards while working around overhead cranes, forklifts, and automated equipment in a safety-sensitive setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Work around overhead cranes, forklifts, trucks, power equipment, and automated equipment — this is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position
• Assist craftsmen with assigned fabrication tasks
• Maintain productivity levels that meet company-established requirements
• Ensure workmanship meets all quality standards
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Sustain 5S workplace organization requirements
• Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork while contributing to timely project completion
• Uphold all safety and quality expectations consistently

Skills & Experience Requirements

• Basic fabrication shop experience
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and power tools
• Ability to read and write basic shop communication
• Ability to use a shop tape measure
• Willingness to learn to read shop drawings and understand bill of materials
• Strong willingness and ability to learn new skills
