Production Control Clerk

Pay: $15-18/hr.

Hours:  Day Shift 6AM-2:30PM

Job Description:

The Production Control Clerk role involves coordinating and expediting workflow and materials movement within or between departments in accordance with the production schedule. The responsibilities include generating work orders for manufactured items based on the Bill of Materials provided by the expeditor, as well as for issues identified on the production floor and in the Electrical department. Additionally, the incumbent monitors the progress of parts listed on the shortage report and offers updates during daily production meetings, collaborating with the expeditor to address any arising issues. They are also responsible for updating the Department of Supply with changes in material parts, closing out work orders daily to ensure DOS reflects the status of parts the following morning. Furthermore, they organize the delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite material flow and meet production schedules. Communication with engineering regarding assembly and parts issues is vital, and they create simulations of orders to maintain inventory levels, reviewing previous job orders to determine optimal running sizes and order quantities.

Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a warehouse receiving or expeditor position.
  • Experience with purchasing, and MRP/ERP systems are preferred.
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be able to read engineering prints/drawings.
