Position Overview:
We are hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to join a leading food manufacturing facility in Owasso. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on a variety of food processing and packaging equipment. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment that requires both mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on conveyors, slicers, grinders, packaging machines, HVAC systems, and more.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment to reduce downtime.
• Replace defective machine parts and ensure optimal production efficiency.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance of refrigeration systems for food safety compliance.
• Assist in equipment installations and upgrades as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory.
• Train production staff on basic troubleshooting and proper machine usage.
• Follow all OSHA, USDA, FDA, and company safety standards.

Required Experience & Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training is a plus.
• 3–5 years of Maintenance Mechanic experience in food manufacturing or meat processing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
• Must be comfortable working in cold/humid environments and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
