Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to support our client in Joplin, MO. Our client is a recognized leader in mission-critical power solutions for the defense, aerospace, and space exploration industries. This role may be either temp-to-hire or direct hire, depending on experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain personnel and medical files for both active and former employees
  • Support employee communications and respond to HR-related inquiries
  • Assist with payroll and timekeeping functions
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and FLSA
  • Analyze and validate time reporting data
  • Contribute to organizational health and culture initiatives
  • Serve as backup to the Payroll Coordinator
  • Provide system support related to timekeeping and compliance functions

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or Finance preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources (manufacturing experience is a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
  • U.S. Person status required (due to project nature and compliance requirements)
