Header Sub Arc/ Lance Operator

Hours: 5PM-5:30AM

Weld Test: 1G Saw Plate Sub-Arc and 2G Plate Test (3 years of experience required)

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will excel in welding trunnions to headers and positioning them using cranes. They must be proficient in aligning electrodes, loading and threading electrode wire, and filling hoppers with flux. Responsibilities include setting up and operating welding equipment, monitoring for compliance, and visually inspecting welds. The role requires adjusting machine setups, preheating workpieces, removing slag and spatter, and using a carbon arc gouger for repairs when needed.
