Fabrication Operator
Pay: $18+/hour

Hours: 3:30 PM–1:00 AM | Monday–Thursday | Some Fridays

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Operator to support metal fabrication processes in a high-paced, safety-sensitive manufacturing environment. The Fabrication Operator will operate saws, drills, grinders, and other fabrication tools while ensuring product quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety and 5S standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate saws and drills to cut, mill, tap, sand, deburr, and grind sheet metal components
• Inspect parts for accuracy, quality, and readiness for the next operation
• Safely use hand and power tools to meet daily production goals
• Follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers for each project
• Collaborate with the laser and press brake teams to maintain workflow
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards
Skills & Experience Requirements
• Experience with industrial saws and basic fabrication tools
• Familiarity with grinders, belt sanders, and common measuring tools
• Ability to accurately use height gauges, calipers, tape measures, squares, and angle finders
• Understanding of basic blueprints, work instructions, and shop math
• Previous fabrication or manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of laser cutting and/or press brake operations a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Physical Demands & Work Environment (Safety-Sensitive)
This role is classified as safety-sensitive due to responsibilities that affect the safety and health of the employee and others. Essential tasks include:
• Handling, processing, storing, packaging, or transporting hazardous materials
• Operating vehicles, equipment, machinery, or power tools
• Repairing, maintaining, or monitoring equipment or manufacturing processes that could cause injury or property damage if disrupted
• Operating or assisting with critical systems such as electric, gas, water, or similar utilities
• Working with volatile, flammable, or combustible materials
• Frequent standing, bending, squatting, climbing, inspecting, and assembly work (approx. 95% of the shift)
Lifting & Material Handling:
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor level and carry up to 10–15 feet
• Use lifting devices and team lifting when possible
• Move, hold, push, and pull parts up to 50 lbs in confined machine areas
