We’re searching the country for the best candidates with experience leading crews in the construction of post frame buildings. We’ll assist with your relocation to Mora, Minnesota – one hour north of the Twin Cities - the absolute dream for the avid sportsman/outdoorsman.

The Crew Foreman is the leader in constructing quality post frame building projects that are of the highest quality, profitable, and delight our customers. This position leads a construction team that promotes a positive attitude, develops an atmosphere for setting and meeting goals and strives to achieve company objectives. 

This position is regarded is the most important function in our business. Our foreman are required to be hands on ... they are the first to put their tool belts on and the last to take them off ... they set the productivity pace on the job site.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direct a crew of 3-4 in all aspects of the building construction process
  • Ability to organize job tasks for crew members to efficiently complete the job
  • Provide the construction expertise, organizational and communication skills necessary to complete quality building projects profitably
  • Complete projects on time and within budget
  • Assist in the technical training and re-training of crew members, including new hires, to ensure they are fully trained and follow all safety and construction procedures
  • Provide recommendations for advancement and wage adjustments for employees
  • Demonstrate and hold the standards of Sherman Pole Building’s safety procedures as well as the efficient construction methods and quality standards of every building
  • Read, understand and build according to construction plans

 

 Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in leading construction projects is required
  • Carpentry, framing, post-frame construction, or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Applicant must hold a Class A CDL license or be able to obtain one within 6 months of being hired, with our assistance in acquiring it
  • Willingness to obtain OSHA 10-hour, Equipment Operation and Competent Person Certifications once hired
  • Capable of working in a physically demanding environment and at various heights (such as 40 feet)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
