Responsibilities of the Role:
- Handle daily finance operations and related tasks.
- Manage and lead a team, providing guidance.
- Prepare the full set of monthly financial statements, including reconciliations and tax computations, and generate analysis reports to support management decision-making.
- Maintain the accounting, fixed asset and inventory systems.
- Prepare the annual budget and forecasts for profit and cash flow, and assist in tracking and monitoring financial performance and results.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and internal controls.
- Ensure the company adheres to local tax regulations, including withholding tax and service tax.
- Establish, monitor, and maintain accounting controls and procedures.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Process end-to-end payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payroll for all employees, including compliance with payroll regulations.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by management, as required.
Requirements for the Role:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the MPERS.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Additional professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- An immediate starter would be advantageous.
