Summary 

As a Government and Industry Advocate, you will play a critical role in presenting QuEra's story and initiatives to public stakeholders in state and federal agencies. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in consultancy, with a focus on industry collaboration, government relations and public affairs. You will work closely with our leadership team to develop and execute advocacy strategies, build relationships with key stakeholders, and influence policy decisions that impact our business.

Responsibilities

Advocacy Strategy Development

  • Assist in developing and implementing government advocacy strategies to support QuEra's business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments at the state and federal levels.
  • Prepare proposals, policy briefs, position papers, and advocacy materials.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with government officials, regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent QuEra at meetings, hearings, and events with government and industry representatives.
  • Coordinate and participate in advocacy campaigns, including grassroots efforts and coalition-building activities.
  • Understand the requirements of government customers and help design products and services that address those needs.

Research and Analysis

  • Conduct research on relevant issues, including emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Analyze the potential impact of proposed legislation and regulations on QuEra and its products.
  • Provide recommendations to the leadership team based on research findings.

Communication and Reporting

  • Draft and edit communications, including policy briefs, newsletters, and reports, to keep internal and external stakeholders informed of advocacy efforts and developments.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to management and other key stakeholders on advocacy initiatives and outcomes.
  • Maintain records of meetings, correspondence, and regulatory filings.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field related to Quantum Computing, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in government relations, public affairs, and technology policy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
