The Contract

We’re looking for a senior freelance UX/UI designer to lead the redesign of our industrial SaaS platform over a focused 6-week sprint. You’ll be responsible for the full process—from user research to journey mapping to redesigning core workflows and onboarding experiences—with stakeholder access and clear scope provided.

About the Project:

                •              SaaS product for water and wastewater treatment plant operators, analysts, and managers

                •              Users span single-facility and multi-facility roles

                •              Project includes redesigning in-product UX and out-of-product experiences like onboarding, sales demos, and early training

                •              Goal: improve intuitiveness, stickiness, and time-to-value

You’ll be responsible for:

                •              Validating user personas and workflows

                •              Mapping user journeys (from pre-sale to ongoing use)

                •              Identifying friction points across all personas

                •              Designing lo-fi/mid-fi wireframes for key workflows

                •              Running quick feedback loops with real users

                •              Delivering a full redesign proposal ready for development

Ideal Experience:

                •              5+ years in UX/UI for B2B SaaS or workflow-heavy tools

                •              Experience designing onboarding and multi-role applications

                •              Ability to run lightweight research + usability testing

                •              Strong communication and comfort with async check-ins

                •              Bonus: familiarity with industrial, technical, or regulated sectors

6 weeks, starting ASAP
