Position Description
As a Business Development Representative, you are a key member of the sales team. We are rapidly growing and need an increased flow of qualified leads for our inside sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience as a BDR and is looking to scale their career on the ground floor of an exciting software-as-a-service (SaaS) business. Traveling up to 50% of the time you will be actively attending water industry-focussed conferences and events to promote Pani and build demand.

What you bring to the team

Minimum of 3 years in a similar sales role with a SaaS company or a deep understanding of the water treatment industry and a passion for building relationships

Excellent networking skills in person and virtually

Proficient knowledge in HubSpot or similar CRM or SDR tools

An effective communicator and natural relationship builder who can collaborate with and influence a variety of work styles and personalities

Entrepreneurial spirit, with a track record of initiative-taking and effective project management skills

A positive attitude, willing to jump in and tackle new challenges.

Understanding of commercial sales, channel distribution, solutions providers, facility owners & operators within the water treatment sector will be an asset
Responsibilities
Prospect and Generate Leads: Identify potential customers within the enterprise segment and proactively reach out to them to generate new business opportunities. Utilize various lead generation techniques, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and attending industry events.
Qualify and Nurture Leads: Engage with prospective customers to understand their business needs, pain points, and goals. Conduct in-depth discussions to qualify leads based on their fit for the company's products or services. Continuously nurture and educate leads to build strong relationships and move them through the sales funnel.
Conduct Product Presentations and Demonstrations: Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of the enterprise SaaS solution. Tailor the content and messaging to address the specific needs and challenges of each potential customer. Effectively communicate the features, functionality, and competitive advantages of the product.
Collaborate with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team, including account executives and sales managers, to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads. Provide comprehensive information and insights about prospects to enable the sales team to create personalized strategies and close deals effectively. Collaborate on account planning and strategy development.
Achieve and Exceed Sales Targets: Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales targets, such as lead generation quotas, qualified opportunity targets, and revenue goals. Actively manage and update the CRM system to track progress, document customer interactions, and monitor the sales pipeline. Continuously seek ways to improve sales techniques, processes, and outcomes.
