We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cloud Security Specialist to join our team as an independent contractor. As a Junior Cloud Security Specialist, you will assist in securing our clients' cloud environments, implementing security measures, and responding to security incidents.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation and management of cloud security solutions for AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Monitor cloud environments for security breaches and vulnerabilities.

• Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure.

• Assist in the development and enforcement of cloud security policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with senior cloud security specialists to design and implement security architectures.

• Respond to security incidents and assist in the investigation and remediation of security breaches.

• Maintain documentation of security procedures, configurations, and incident reports.

• Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Understanding of fundamental cloud security concepts and best practices.

• Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) are a plus, but not required.

• Prior experience in an IT or security role is preferred, but entry-level candidates with strong technical skills will also be considered.

Contract Details:

• This is a 1099 independent contractor position.

• Flexible working hours based on client needs.

• Compensation will be based on the complexity and duration of tasks/projects.
