Summary:

Are you passionate about cars and have a keen eye for quality vehicles? Ken Grody Ford Carlsbad is seeking a motivated Vehicle Buyer to join our team. As a Vehicle Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing vehicles for our dealership. This role is crucial in maintaining our inventory and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Source potential vehicles through auctions, trade-ins, and private sellers
• Evaluate vehicles based on market trends, condition, and resale value
• Negotiate prices and close deals with sellers
• Manage vehicle inspections and coordinate necessary repairs
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle purchases and sales
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure inventory meets customer demand
• Make multiple calls, emails, and texts to set appointments for customers to come in and sell us their vehicles.
• Perform a walk-around on all customers' vehicles to ensure correct information is in the KBB system.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is complete to finalize the purchase.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in automotive sales or purchasing
• Strong knowledge of different vehicle makes and models
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work within a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer and phone skills
