Position Overview: We are looking for a talented and experienced Grant Writer to join our team at Brave Achievers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully securing grants from various sources, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporations. This role requires exceptional writing skills, the ability to find grants, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate our mission and programs to potential funders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Research and Identification: Identify and research potential grant opportunities that align with Brave Achievers’ mission, programs, and strategic goals.
  • Proposal Writing: Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals, letters of intent, and supporting documents.
  • Grant Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective grant-seeking strategies, including prioritizing grant opportunities and establishing timelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with program staff, financial officers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for proposals.
  • Grant Management: Maintain a comprehensive calendar of grant deadlines, ensure timely submission of proposals, and track the status of pending applications.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit grant reports and ensure compliance with grant requirements and guidelines.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential funders through effective communication and stewardship.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing, with a proven track record of securing grants.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong research, analytical, and project management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
    • Familiarity with grant databases and funding sources.
  • Attributes:

    • Creative thinker with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
