About the Role
We are excited to be supporting a growing digital agency in the compliance space in findind their new experienced VP Sales. The successsful candidate has a proven track record of scaling sales teams and driving results in high-growth, service-oriented, or tech-enabled businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of our sales function, coach a talented team, and help propel their revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
Lead, manage, and scale a small sales team (5-10 reps) to achieve ambitious revenue goals.
Develop and optimize pricing strategies, pipeline management, and sales funnel processes to maximize conversion rates and revenue.
Coaching & Team Development
Serve as a hands-on sales coach, providing mentorship to elevate team performance and align incentives with company objectives.
Foster a culture of accountability, support, and continuous improvement within the sales organization.
Empower existing team members by amplifying their success and ensuring they feel supported under your leadership.
Action-Oriented Execution
Identify growth opportunities, act quickly, and deliver measurable results in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
Roll up your sleeves when needed—whether closing deals, refining processes, or implementing scalable systems. We need someone who feels that nothing is beneath them.
External Representation & Relationship Management
Represent the company at conferences, strategic meetings, and client-facing engagements with partners.
Build and nurture relationships with external partners, prospects, and stakeholders to drive growth.
Startup Agility & Scalability
Strike the right balance between maintaining a scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset and introducing scalable systems and processes. We want to grow, not optimize. Knowing where that balance lies is very important.
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, limited resources, and a fast-moving startup culture.
Must Haves:
Proven experience scaling sales organizations in a digital services business.
5+ years of experience leading sales teams in high-growth, service-oriented, or tech-enabled businesses.
Strong understanding of pipeline management, pricing strategy, and sales funnel optimization.
Exceptional coaching skills with the ability to motivate and elevate a team’s performance.
Adaptability to a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes and priorities.
Nice-to-Haves
Background in cybersecurity or compliance.
Experience with channel sales and partnership management.
Previous success in building relationships with channel partners or representing organizations at conferences. If you have speaking experience, that would be great.
